*American actor Roscoe Lee Browne, a champion of Millay and a 1000-yard national indoor champion runner in 1949, was a founding member of the Millay Society.
PULITZER PRIZE WINNER [Elizabeth Barnett*] ($1,000+)
All of the above, plus up to ten guest privileges for events & tours.
*Elizabeth Barnett, was the literary executor of the Millay properties who co-founded the society. Roscoe, died on April 11, 2007; Elizabeth on December 26, 2010. Both became close friends with Norma Millay in 1952 and were devoted to Millay and Steepletop. Donations at these levels are made in their names and in their memory. Memorial plaques in Roscoe’s honor and Elizabeth’s list all donors at these levels and are always displayed in the Visitor’s Center at Steepletop.
